Why We Exist

Oramah Capacity Building Initiative (OCBI) was founded in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with a clear mandate: to close the capacity gap between where Tanzanian schools and training institutions stand today and where international standards demand they should be.

Tanzania's Education Sector Development Plan 2025/26-2029/30 reveals a financing gap of TSH 3.62 trillion and explicitly invites Public-Private Partnerships to bridge it. Yet fewer than a quarter of the country's teachers have received any form of Continuous Professional Development, while the national Pupil-Teacher Ratio sits at 55:1 and climbs to 76:1 in underserved regions.

OCBI addresses these pain points with a modular, scalable portfolio spanning six service lines, with revenue diversified across government contracts, B2B private-school engagements, donor-funded programmes, and direct employer upskilling in the tourism and hospitality sector.
